Despite better understanding of
biology of angiogenesis myocardial regeneration and the development of more effective agents and cells,
delivery remains
a challenge due to the high vascularity of the myocardium and rapid washout
and poor cell survival. The Angiogenesi Research Center has several efforts
aimed at optimizing delivery specific to agents and device used, enabling
ideal condition for studied molecules to result in functionally significant
angiogenesis.
